Finally the girls from Jibrin Aminu and Sunshine International successfully finished their training on basic electronics and Embedded Systems.
A pitching event was held on the 23rd of September and the girl’s pitched their ideas and solutions to their parents and other stake holders.
The event was an eye opener to many parents who didn’t believe in their girls to give them more support to grow.
Clean water detecting device, green house project, flame detector, security alarm, farm intruder detector and more were the projects the girls presented. Components like Arduino, flame sensor, gsm module,PIR sensor, ultrasonic sensor, resistor, switch, and Light dependant resistor (LDR) was being used by the girls to create their solutions.
Aside learning electronics SKILLS the girls were also taught soft skills like design thinking, smart communication and how to pitch their ideas.
This first cohort of the SHETechs Project was a success, we are glad we were able to impact this girls and their community at large. We also appreciate our amazing team for their great effort to seeing this achieved in our girls.
